On August 22nd Virgo season started and since then I have noticed myself being much more productive and have had a sudden motivation to get back into my groove. I have to admit I did not know too much about Virgos before doing some research and I have always seen them as a rather boring sign, but I have a newfound appreciation for this earth sign.
Virgos are naturally hardworking and creative which earns them the nickname "the perfectionists," but this also sheds some light onto their petty and over critical behavior. People born in between August 22nd and September 22nd are the ones you would want to pick for the leader of a group project as they have this drive inside of them and are very reliable and patient with others. If you know a Virgo very well, or if you are one, it becomes apparent that they may overwork themselves rather easily and get consumed in their work while constantly thinking it is not good enough. Like every sign, there are positives and negatives and Virgos dance on that fine line very frequently causing a lot of internal problems they may not care to admit.

Now that we both know a little more about Virgos and their characteristics, why is this important?
As we continue through this month long period, whatever Virgo we may have in our birth charts will come across a little stronger and it just so happens to align perfectly with one of the biggest times of the year- back to school. When we think of back to school, images of pencils and books appear distinctly in our minds as this has been engraved in us since we were about four years old. As school starts we are all put into a routine where we learn and work hard for seven hours a day and then go home just to do more homework. I find it very intriguing how the hardworking Virgo season aligns perfectly with the start of the school year where we must use those Virgo characteristics in order to stay afloat in this dramatic change.
The first week of school is always so hard to adjust to because we are coming out of this fun carefree Leo season summer and are rudely awakened by six AM alarm clocks and heavy workloads. School starts for me next Monday and I plan on using this Virgo energy to my advantage. Today, after I woke up and had my morning coffee, I headed straight for my planner and laid out my entire day which I have not done since last school year. I opened up my laptop and started to redesign the layout of my website which I have not done since the initial publishing and if that does not scream "productive" then I do not know what does. Suddenly I have motivation to finish my summer reading and all day today I have been journaling and doing things I forgot I loved instead of getting distracted on my phone for hours at a time.
During this Virgo season I challenge you to take advantage of this hardworking energy instead of becoming a slave to it. Thanks for reading
