I have recently discovered a local crystal shop near me with great quality and diverse items, so naturally, I have been picking up a lot of new crystals. With short posts like these, I like to dive into just a few crystals so that I can talk about them in-depth and share personal associations or stories more than just my generic overview I have posted. I hope you learn something today and i recommend picking these up if you can!

Tiger’s Eye: confidence/focus

I have been dying for a piece of tiger’s eye for months now as all i had before were some little pieces in a jar which just is not practical for everyday use. On my last trip to the crystal shop, I immediately saw the perfect piece of tiger’s eye with wire wrapping for a necklace which is great because it is like wearing pure confidence on your body. I have been wearing this necklace almost every day and can see how my interactions are going much smoother, but the very first time I wore it was by far the most powerful experience. After cleansing, I was excited to wear my necklace for the first and it just so happened to be the morning of a job interview that I was very nervous about. The last interview I had at another job did not go as planned which left me on edge for this one, but luckily some tiger‘s eye landed in my possession, and I ended up being almost over-prepared as it felt more like a conversation than an interview. Ever since then I have been obsessed with this necklace and wearing it all the time in order to give myself the best opportunities.

Labradorite: spiritual advancement

Labradorite is the most beautiful crystal I own, and I often catch myself staring at because it’s reflective pieces are very large and colorful ranging from all shades of blue and green. I like to call this one my meditation stone because it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand and when I meditate with it I have such a good experience, hence why it is known for spiritual advancement and high states of consciousness. I particularly enjoy using labradorite during third eye meditations or anything regarding spirit guides as it helps me to bridge the gap from the physical world into the spiritual realm. There is an old Native American story I have heard (I am not super familiar with these stories or an expert whatsoever I just think that the cultural perspective is fascinating considering the personal experiences I have had with labradorite) that says the lights of the aurora borealis was trapped inside the stone, so a warrior struck it and released the colorful light into the sky. It is said that some pieces never got released as they still are present in the crystal which symbolizes the great magical properties of the sky and spirits still trapped. I loved learning about that perspective because the crystal really does feel heavenly to the touch and certainly looks it too.

Satin Spar/Selenite: cleansing

Satin spar, often labelled as selenite, is the ultimate cleansing tool and since using I have realized how often I had not been cleansing my crystals before. Whenever I get a new crystal I immediately cleanse it as every single person who has ever touched it has left their energy behind. If someone is carrying negative energy and they leave that behind on a crystal that I bring home, now I have let that energy into my life which is the opposite goal most are trying to achieve with crystals and obtaining their healing process. Since I have gotten my satin spar I have been able to let go of tensions I had been holding onto and if you have a lot of crystals I highly recommend this form of cleansing as there is no need for incense, waiting for celestial events, or using water/salt water as it can be damaging for certain crystals. In order to make cleansing even easier, I have created a Himalayan salt bed with satin spar on each corner so I can put my crystals in the center after taking off my necklace or however else I am using it. Just be careful when handling this special crystal as it is extremely brittle and can leave glass-like shards on your fingertips as well as its need to stay dry because water will destroy it, but other than that it will add so many positives into your life.

Thank you for reading today and once again I highly recommend getting these crystals as they have helped me a lot within the last few months I have had them. Comment below any other crystals you would like me to write about.

Be careful putting your jewelry in the salt bed because the salt can oxidize and pit the metal. Maybe lay it on top of tissue paper before placing on the salt.
