Lucky Girl Syndrome

It all started with a TikTok of a girl explaining how saying "I am so lucky" brought her luck. Another TikTok of two girls eating noodles in a car confirmed this method. Just like that, the Lucky Girl Syndrome phenomenon was born. It's a popular manifestation trend on social media of people changing their outlook on life and suddenly becoming really lucky and if you have followed me for a while you'd know I have been obsessed with manifestation since early 2019. I wrote a few blog posts on the law of attraction and manifestation over the years (click here, here, and here) and since then it has really blown up all over social media. It is essentially the idea that you can bring anything into your life that you desire, and that you are already doing it subconsciously all the time. The Lucky Girl Syndrome is real despite being just a silly little TikTok trend, so let's take a look into how it works.
The law of attraction is one of the main concepts that propel manifestation. It states that like energies are attracted to each other. Everything is composed of energy and molecular vibrations from the thoughts we think and the words we say to the foods that we eat. Different things possess different vibrational frequencies which can be seen on the scale below and like frequencies are naturally attracted to each other. This can be seen in daily life as more positive thinkers tend to hang out around each other as well as people with more negative thought patterns do as well.

The Lucky Girl Syndrome is essentially the law of assumption, which is a concept coined by the new-age mystic, Neville Goddard. It states that when acting/feeling as if our goals/desires have been met, they will manifest. This is built off of the law of attraction as feeling the vibration of our goals being met, even if they haven't been, is attracting like vibrations of our goals actually being met. In a way, it is like cheating the system and getting a whole lot more out of life with a whole lot less stress. When one assumes something to be true, it manifests into their reality and comes true.
I have been doing this for a long time by letting go of my desires and instead allowing them to come to me. This is why I have often been calm in high-stress situations like taking the SATs, the college application process, and job interviews because I know everything will work out for me. I think about my end goal and act as if I already have it and now I'm attending my dream school, received a scholarship, and have never been denied a job I've applied to. The Lucky Girl Syndrome really amps this technique up with the affirmation "I am so lucky" and when I tried it for myself the past few weeks, many opportunities have come knocking on my door. I started saying "I am so lucky and I deserve this" every time a good thing happens to me and I noticed those things started happening a lot more frequently. In the case of finances, I have received a lot more incoming money than I had expected including random gifts, opportunities, and a pay raise. I am so lucky. Just in the few weeks, I have been adapting the Lucky Girl Syndrome mindset, I have noticed life rolling more smoothly and a much more positive mindset in general which is a great way to start off 2023.
Part of the trend is to be delusional and feed into your delusions and they might just come true. The science behind that is to be optimistic and expect good things. Even if you don't get some crazy big gesture like you expected it is about finding the light in the situation and you might even receive something better. Stay delusional, stay lucky, and manifest your dreams.
Thanks for reading and I love how this post is similar to my old posts because I am actually just a couple of days away from my four-year anniversary of Lost in Thought Blog. I have grown so much over the years thanks to all the support and I can't wait to see where else I go.
